Philips Carbon Black Ltd, Kochi unit, has been awarded the third prize among the large-scale industries for making substantial and sustained efforts in pollution control during 2004. Dr B Banerjee, Chief of Operations of the Kochi Unit, received the award from Dr Claude Alvares, Director of Goa Foundation and Member of the Supreme Court Monitoring Committee.
