Even as Honda Motors is setting up its 100% subsidiary in India to manufacture motor cycles and scooters, the Hero group would continue its joint venture with the Japanese company through Hero Honda Motors. Anil Sobti, executive director (business operations) of Hero Honda, said the tie-up with Honda would continue. He said the partnership had been the most successful of its kind, adding that Hondas presence was needed for getting the technology and R&-D required for the advancement of the models. Hero and Honda control 26% each separately in Hero Honda, while institution and the public were holding the balance. |
