Wockhardt has received approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for marketing cefuroxime axetil in the US market. Wockhardts US subsidiary, Wockhardt USA, is expected to launch the broad spectrum antibiotic tablets in three strengths - 125mg, 250mg and 500mg - over the next few weeks. The current market for this product in the US is $58m as per IMS data. |
