Micromatic Machine Tools Pvt Ltd (MMTPL), a prominent manufacturer of CMC machines, is considering opening an office in China to capitalise on Chinas drive to become a major manufacturing source for global clients. The company, which sold over 1,500 CNC machines last year, expects to sell nearly double that number during the current year.
It will be manned by Indian staff and would be involved in looking after the import of machines and customizing them for distribution. The company hopes to sell 30 units in China during the first year and in the next five years, the company expects the sales to reach 500 machines a year level.
