Honeywell plans design centre in Pune
Honeywell Automation India Ltd is planning to set up an engineering design centre in Pune to cater to the global market. The industrial automation and control solutions company was, so far, focusing on project engineering services and project management.

John OHiggins, chairman, Honeywell Automation said that the design centre is in the feasibility stage and its details have not been worked out. There will be more of design of hardware products and embedded systems in the industrial automation and buildings space in Pune, while the Bangalore centre would take care of software products development and system integration. To take care of the expansion, the company plans to recruit 200 people this year, of whom 60 professionals have already been taken in.
