SKF India is investing Rs 130 crore this year on capacity expansion at its Pune and Bangalore manufacturing facilities. There will be 50 per cent capacity expansion in Bangalore and about 30- 32 per cent in Pune. In Pune the company will expand its taper bearing capacity, while the investment in Bangalore will be to ramp up its deep-groove ball bearing capacity. Both these expansion are expected to be completed by this year- end. In addition, SKF is looking at starting an industrial bearing production line in Pune.
