ABB has bagged Indias first major equipment order for 765 kV extra high voltage (EHV) transformers, and shunt reactions from the National Thermal Power Corporation and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. These will be the largest transformer banks and the highest voltage class transformers to be installed in India. The combined value of the orders, for the ABB Group is around US$ 80 million. |
