A Texas-based firm, Texas Power Generation, is investing in Chhattisgarh. The firm will set up a 1,000-MW power plant in the state. According to government officials, the company will invest $ 1.28 billion in the project. According to the pact, which was signed recently by the Government of Chhattisgarh and the company, Texas Power Generation will set up the power plant and a coal washery, a sponge iron plant, a rolling mill, a captive power plant, an induction thermal unit and a structural mill. |
