Aurobindo has received tentative approval from the USF- DA for its 300-mg zidovudine tablet, according to a company statement. The company expects that the approval would lead to the final approval, allowing it to sell in the US market. The tablet is used with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection. This will allow Aurobindo to qualify under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.
