Datatex sees big potential for ERP in Asian textile industry
Datatex attended Shanghaitex 2005 together with Cherntax, its business partner for Hong-Kong and China. This exhibition has taken place while textile manufacturing in the world keeps changing due to the continued relocation pressure and the end of the quota system. In this scenario, Datatex presented at Shanghaitex 2005 the worlds most advanced ERP, fully developed under the universal J2EE standards, enabling it to main hardware and software platforms.

Datatex solution fully supports all textile and garment requirements with features like:
Multiple size matrixes, rolls, containers, different packages, recipes, print designs and weave patterns, dynamic bill-of-material and routing, balance of stock with 3 discrete quantities (eg, metres, kilograms and number of rolls). Moreover, it supports dynamic product code where colour, for example, can be defined in separate tables.

These are a few examples of how the Datatex solution fits the textile industry requirements, thanks to its development by components, with a WEB-based architecture and industry standards compliant (J2EE, WEB Services, XML).

Moreover, Datatex presented its Planning Tools: VIP, TRP, & MQM. These tools cover the full planning cycle, including the new MQM module (Machine Queuing Management). A significant number of successful references confirm that the Datatex approach best fits the customers needs in this sensitive area.
