In a major cost-cutting move, Air Sahara has become the first full-service carrier to switch to e-ticketing for domestic flights in the travel agency sector.
The airline signed a deal with the Delhi based vendor Amadeus to facilitate electronic ticketing across all routes.
Now travel agents can book e-tickets by using the Amadeus services. This e-ticketing system will save costs There will no longer be the need to print tickets or store them. Besides, passengers need not carry the tickets along with them as the authentication number can be communicated through an SMS or a phone call. There is no risk of any theft of ticket either.
