Skoda Auto India is gearing up its production capacity from 15,000 to 30,000 units and targeting at a 30,000+ capacity expansion by next mid year. Launching its hybrid station wagon Octavia Combo in a bid to widen its consumer base, Skoda Auto India is in line with reaching its growth target of 30-40%. Imran Hassen, MD, Skoda Auto India said that they are anticipating sales of about 9,000-10,000 units by the end of the year. As part of their three-stage plan they would be coming out with a new technology product every six to twelve weeks. The new Octavia comes in two versions- Skoda Combi RS and Skoda Combi L&K. Skoda plans to launch Diesel Superb and A5 later this year.
