Chennai-based Shriram Group has said that its proposed life insurance venture Shriram Life Insurance has obtained the R2 licence from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority on September 14,2005. Shriram Group recently entered into a joint venture agreement with Sanlam of South Africa to foray into the Indian life insurance sector. Shriram Life Insurance is set to commence operations by the end of October 2005. |
