"Centre should be reverted to charitable trust status." says Mr Anil Nanda the chairman of Goetz India. He opposed the proposed sale of the Escorts Heart Institute and Research centre that runs the delhi based Escorts Hospital. He further said that that he would like to ensure that the status of Escorts Heart Institute should revert to being a charitable trust and for this he proposed that they would move the court shortly. Experts say that Escorts hospital has maximum valuation. Escorts is in dialogue with Fortis to divest the hospital . Anil further added that " We would like to ensure that the original members of the Delhi Society would be reinstated." Other of his family members Veena Sakhuja and Nini Nanda have agreed to Anil Nandas fact . According to Anil Nanda the proposed sale is illegal since conversion of the charitable trust into a company is illegal. Originally Escorts Heart Institute and Research centre was a Delhi -based charitable trust. Records reveal that Escorts Heart institute was merged with the research centre at Chandigarh that was a commercial trust actually. |
