Inox leisure is the entertainment arm of the Rs 750 crore Inox Group enters the film distribution business. Company has tied up with Pritish Nandy Communications for their forth coming films like Ek Khiladi, Ek Hasina. CEO Manoj Bhatia says that "Given our success with exhibition ,this is a natural extension. Operating a distribution company will give us greater control over the supply chain and bring us closer to an integrated set-up." By 2006-07 the company plans to to expand with a fresh investment of Rs 100 crore and Rs 25 crore will be invested in this fiscal deficit itself. The company s initial investment in the distribution business is to the tune of Rs 5 crore. Recently the film distributors acted as venture capitalists by providing finances to the producers in lieu of distribution rights of specific territories. In Bengal sector aroon sharma who will head the distribution wing offices in kolkata, jaipur and Banglore said that to Inox the bengal sector is of prime interest .On an average, their multiplexes in Kolkatta account for one-third of West Bengals box-office takings. Hence, they see a huge potential in distributing The top-of the-line productions in that sector." Before going in for foreign movies, Inox would focus on Bollywood films in Phase 1 of its distribution said Bhatia.
