IOC expands its existing refinery
Indian Oil corporation has asked for more land to expand its existing refinery at Haldia. IOC chairman met chief minister in kolkatta recently with the proposal. In the meeting Behuria told the chief minister that IOC was keen to invest in Bengal. IOC plans to buy land adjacent to the refinery,which is now owned by the Haldia Fertiliser Unit of Hindustan Fertiliser Corporation. (HFC). IOC is likely to invest Rs 300-400 for expanding the capacity of the refinery.
