Suzlon Energy , the wind energy equipment supplier,is setting up manufacturing plants
In China and the US.By next fiscal the plants to be set up at a cost of around Rs 320 crore are scheduled to commence operations.By sep 2006 the plant in the US will become operational before the end of this fiscal, while the one in china is likely to commence operations.Plant in the US being built at a cost of Rs 100 crore, will supply rotor blades to the US. Rotor blades are very sizable and involve huge logistics costs. The company is planning to save costs by establishing up a plant in the US.
