The worlds biggest trade fair Heimtextil envisioned a grand opening whereby around 52,000 buyers turned up to be a part of this world class exhibition on home textiles and commercially used textiles. 548 companies exhibited
their products to an international public. According to a Messe Frankfurt survey, trade visitors have been giving a considerably a better assessment of the business situation than the year before.This year the trade fair exhibition was held at Bombay Exhibition centre at NSE Grounds, Goregaon from 10th to 13th October. Heim Textil India showcases a most comprehensive display of fabrics and accessories for the home,in a setting that is luxurious and well suited for business. Indian manufacturers can use Heimtextil India to source International accessories and textile products for re-export or local distribution and retail. Heimtextil India offered opportunities for image development by being an ideal exchange for buyers and exhibitors and indirectly offering an ideal opportunity to win over customers from India and abroad. Since the inception Of Heim Textil India 6 years ago ,it has presented an international Trend show and seminar presented by the global Trend Guru. On the occasion of Heimtextil for the second time ,the professional magazine for architecture, interior Design and technical installation (AIT) held its competition for the Textile and Contract innovation Prize. This year the presentation of international home-fashioned trends for 2005-06 in the Forum proved a great attraction. To provide trade visitors with inspiration there were new areas for the individual product sectors that were derived from current home-fashion trends. Campus project had its premiere in the fair whereby students from various German art academies showed exhibits designed for the home-textile sector and the students were able to make Contacts. The study called "Contract furnishing 2005- the professional home market for home textile in Germany" was presented at Heimtextil and showed the industry new perspectives regarding contract textiles and furniture. Young and old had a chance to get new ideas about house and home while coming across new furnishings. Consumers were interested in the latest trends and in the practical applications of textiles.
