NEC on Friday launched its range of desktop PCs in India. It also announced the appointment of Enkay Technologies as its authorised business reseller for its complete range of commercial notebooks, accessories and services in India. Dayal Hemrajani said, " We will be an accredited reseller for NEC." The company will add NEC commercial PCs to its existing range of NECs enterprise solutions such as PABXs, multimedia and call centre solutions and Digital Key Telephone Systems. At current growth rates, Indian PC market is scheduled to hit the 10 million mark by 2007 with a CAGR(compounded annual growth rate) of about 23%. The go-to-market strategy of NEC in partnering with Enkay is to target the existing base of Enkay customers and look at the BFSI verticals,where the company Has most of its userbase. To promote NECs PCs Enkay will add sales and service Professionals to its existing nation wide network of corporate sales teams . Enkay Claims that it has already started talks with Asian Paints for procuring more than 1,000 Notebooks and is receiving interest from the companies.
