Maruti Udyog received award in the form of commendation for promoting japanese brands. Award was given by Yasukuni Enoki, the Japanese ambassador to India, on behalf of shoichi Nakagawa,Minister of Economy, Trade and industry , Japan. The award was Received by Jagdish Khattar , M.D ,Maruti Udyog Ltd. MITI is recognising companies In Japan and overseas, which promote Japanese brands and services in overseas markets. Maruti is one of the only two companies outside Japan that has received the commendation for promoting Japanese Brands this year. News has been given that Maruti Udyog announced that it will set up world-class Maruti Driving Schools across 15 cities in India, this year. The driving schools are modelled on international lines, where learners will be imparted classroom training in attitude and road behaviour, as per international practice. The initiative is a part of Marutis commitment to road safety and an endeavour to inculcate safe driving habits among people. The new driving schools will be equipped with world-class simulators, to enable learners to familiarise themselves with the controls of the car before they take the actual vehicle on the road. These will also simulate various road and weather conditions like fog, dim light, uphill and downhill terrain ,to provide comprehensive training to learners.
