General Motors India sold 3159 cars in Aug 05 ,wherby sales jump 69% over July 05. compared to the same month last year,Aug 05 numbers show a 40% growth. General Motors India sold 20,322 cars in the period Jan-Aug 05,a growth of 33% over the same period last year. Aug 05 sales include 811 Chevrolet Optras,1339 Opel Corsas, 1003 Chevrolet Taveras and 6 Chevrolet Foresters. As a part of the second anniversary celebrations on Chevrolet Optra, there was an attractive offer for customers including an innovative promotion with Tanishq. Opel Corsas "Limited Edition Offer" of a fully loaded Corsa was a phenomenal success. Aug 05 sales of 1339 units was the highest ever for the brand since introduction of the car in March 2000.
