According to Beresford-Wylie,executive vice president and general manager of Nokia Networks, fierce price competition would limit mobile phone revenues in the Asia Pacific Region . Sanjeev Sharma ,MD of Nokia India,says that more colour handsets are being sold in India than B&W screen handsets. Gartner has predicted that the global mobile Phone handset market would grow by 16% to reach 780 million units this year. Nokia expects the overwhelming bulk of mobile phone subscribers to come from China, India, Russia and Brazil. Nokia plans to set up a global network operations centre in India by the end of this year.
