Texas Instruments (TI) has launched a single-chip cellphone solution that will cut hand set prices by upto 30%. The solution ,designed and developed by TIs Banglore development centre, is under sampling and targets the voice-centric mass market. TI is also developing a single-chip TV-mobile phone solution. CodenamedHollywood, the solution would enable users to receive TV broadsheets and live feeds of news on their handsets.
