To boost their sales cellphone makers are eyeing TV. Nokia plans to bring a commercial mobile TV handset with integrated DVB-H to the market in 2006. LG has showcased terrestrial and satellite DMB phones with MPEG4 video streaming and video telephony on dual TFT display. Samsung has demonstrated DMB phones, while Seimens has unveiled a DVB-H phone. Philips has announced a miniaturised , embedded DVB-T reciever module for personal digital assistants (PDAs) and portable media players. The digital video broadcasting standard for handhelds(DVB-H) builds on existing services like DVB -terrestrial (DVB-T) or digital media broadcasting (DMB).
