ITEMA has started a deep reorganisation of its different business areas ,with the aim at strengthening its international leadership in the textile machinery market, which is going through important changes with a rapid dynamism. The new set-up organises the 4 different business areas according to their particular market fields and their specific commercial brands. Among the new brands there are: Itema Spinning(for spinning and winding machines),Itema Weaving (weaving machines),with the four brands Itema Shanghai,Somet,Sulzer Textil, and Vamatex,Itema Accessories ,with two brands Fimtextile and Itema Electronics (electronics), with the two brands Euron and Eutron Infosecurity . The companies referring to ITEMA Holding are: Savio (spinning and winding machines), and Sultex(weaving machines). The companies operating on foreign markets are:Itema America, Itema India, Itema Shanghai Textile Machinery, Itema Asia. Today ITEMA has 10 companies ,7 research and development centres, and is present in more than 90 countries with 2.890 employees. The turnover in 2004 was about 645 millions Euro. |
