Getriebebau Nord, main office in Bargteheide near Hanmburg has launched Nordac SK 150E, an electronic soft starter. This soft starter is directly integrated into the motors terminal box. It serves to attune the drive to different applications. Several modes of control can be selected via a slide switch,each allowing for individual adjustment of time and torque for start-up,spin out and/or kick-start. Activation for one running direction is carried out via digital signals (24 V) or via optional interface components such as AS i.Contactors and a motorcycle projection switch in the control cabinet are unnecessary .Brake and temperature controls are integrated in the SK 150E, which simplifies wiring. The drive includes a thermistor control, a fast rectifier for an electromagnetic brake is available by request. Internally, the power output is controlled by a wear-free electronic power switch. Those thyristors allow for upto 500 operations per hour, thus qualifying the drive for enduring cyclic operation . Two LEDs enable status diagnosis. The SK 150E is designed for drives from 0.25 to 4 kW and for supply voltages from 200 to 480 V (50 to 60Hz). It fulfills the requirements for protection class IP 66 and operates safely in ambient temperatures of -10 to + 50c . |
