A state of -the-art technology laboratory has been set up at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research ,Banglore , which will house the Atomic Force Microscope,a Scanning Tunnel Microscope and other cutting-edge technology application modules. Eight nano-science centres have been established during the last two years in India and four more will be added in the next 3-4 months. India has huge potential in the nano-science arena. At present, however, research in this field is still in its nascent stage. Having access to the appropriate state-of-the-art instruments is critical to future nanotechnology developments in the country. |
