Global leader in automotive systems and components ,Delphi Corporation,has signed an agreement with World Space Inc, the global satellite radio broadcaster, to make mobile satellite radio available in India. According to Delphi, the mobile satellite radio recievers are expected to be available in the Indian market in the first half of 2006. The partners would initially launch and market Delphi-World Space mobile satellite radio recievers in India. As per the agreement , Delphi will provide hardware that would deliver uninterrupted access to the World Space satellite radio network ,which currently provides more than 35 radio stations across India. The Delphi-World Space mobile satellite radio recievers would be designed to receive and decode the World Space satellite signal seamlessly throughout India and in the other markets,in future. Dominic Seto , product & service solutions managing director,Asia-Pacific,Delphi ,was confident that the mobile satellite radios would fundamentally transform the mobile listening experience India. |
