Zydus Cadila has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to market Ribavirin capsules,an anti-viral drug specifically used to treat Hepatitis C, in the US market. The drug, which the company expects to launch in December this year, puts Zydus, in a position to tap a $354-million market for Ribavirin in the country. The approval is the latest in the series of eight ANDA approvals secured by the company. Zydus had earlier launched Atenolol and Metformin, used to treat heart disorders and diabetes, respectively in the US. |
