Air Products recently announced that it would implement a security charge for high-purity process chemicals (HPPC), to help offset costs associated with plant security improvements at Air Products production facilities. A large majority of these are a direct result of US-anti-terrorism efforts. An increase of $1.25 per case and $15 per drum will be imposed. Air Products also completed a security vulnerability assessment for its electronic manufacturing facilities.
