Celanese Chemicals will temporarily increase its freight surcharge on all polyvinyl alcohol orders, globally. The increase is necessitated by significantly higher freight supplier costs and logistical problems caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The freight surcharge will be increased in North America by$400 per rail shipment, $150 for full truckload shipments and $70 for less-than - truck load shipments.
