The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its approval for financial assistance. This assistance approved is up to Rs 15 crore to the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) from the Market Access Initiative scheme to organise Indias participation as a partner country in the Hannover fair. The nod of the Cabinet Committee was obtained in view of the existing ceiling of Rs 50 lakh on assistance that is allowed under the scheme. India is being invited as a partner country after a gap of more than two decades. The five-day fair starts
on April 24. The main display categories include process and factory automation, industrial facility management and services, energy, pipeline technology, digital factory, micro-technology and industrial building automation.
