Torrent Power signed a joint venture agreement with Power Grid Corpn to lay power transmission lines to evacuate 1,100 MW from Sugen Project in Gujarat. The 400kW, double-circuit line would cover a distance of nearly 250 km. Power Grid will hold 26 per cent equity while Torrent Power will hold the balance 74 per cent in this new joint venture. |
