SABMiller has struck bottling deal with Haryanas Kool Breweries. The beer MNC is expected to utilise the 1.5 lakh litre annual capacity through a committed buyback deal. Kool Breweries, which had an ongoing bottling arrangement with Fosters India, turned to SABMiller even as the latter is in the midst of a frenzied capacity addition across India.
The tie-up brings significant capacity enhancement, almost 1.5 lakh cases (of 7.8 litre each) monthly, to SABMillers inventory. The company already has a plant, Haryana Breweries, in Sonepet district, which will see capacity expansion to 3 lakh cases from 1.5 lakh cases at present. Kool Breweries is located at Dharuhera.
SABMiller is also expanding the monthly capacity of Rochees brewery to nearly 1m cases from 3.5 lakh cases.
