Godrej and Boyce, leading firm of the market, is hunting at opportunities to set up a manufacturing unit of its furniture division in either Karnataka or Tamil Nadu. According to the chief operating officer, Anil Mathur, this unit will help the company to decrease the time to market in the region. Alongwith the company is also enhancing its distribution strength in the South. Godrej has a strong presence across the country.
The company is onhead to launch an umbrella brand on August 16, with a view to have a unified approach to brand building. The company showed a turnover of Rs 650 this year and is expected to touch Rs 850 crore by the end of the fiscal year. It also plans to launch furniture for hospitals and healthcare segments also. |
