Boursin Cheese, from the Unilever stable, has been launched in India through the Mumbai-based FMCG company R.R. Oomerbhoy Pvt Ltd. Unilever also brings to India its Maille mustards and wine vinegars. Boursin will initially be rolled out across 400 stores in six cities including Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi in three flavours (plain, garlic and fine herbs), while the Maille products will be available in 32 class 1 cities. About $1 million will be invested over three years in the lifestyle cheese product which is expected to bring in a turnover of Rs 6 crore in the first year, said Mr Riyad Oomerbhoy, Managing Director, R.R. Oomerbhoy. R.R. Oomerbhoy sells products such as edible oils, cookies, breakfast cereals, pasta and vermicelli.
