The top direct selling company of India, the Amway India has recently set up a target for a turnover of Rs. 2,500 crore in the year of 2012. The company generally offers the cosmetics & skin care, home care, personal care and nutrition & wellness products to its consumers and it is now expecting to post a turnover of Rs. 800 crore in the current year. The sources informed that the company has achieved a turnover of Rs. 738 in the year of 2006.
The Managing Director & CEO of the Amway India Enterprises, Mr. William S. Pinckney has made the announcement on Tuesday at a news conference in Kolkata. The company organised the conference in order to launch a new range of colour cosmetics under the companys brand name of "Attitude Colours". The products in this new range include the lipsticks, the nail enamel and the eye liner and the company officials informed that they will sell these products all over India. Earlier, the company did launch another range of products named "Artistry" that comprises the skin care products.
Mr. Pinckney said that Amway India is also planning to launch some new products for the males. According to the sources from the company, the Amway India is currently offering a huge range of 85 products to its consumers divided into five different categories. These categories are the personal care, home care, nutrition & wellness, cosmetics and also the gift catalogue. Mr. Pinckney also informed that the company manufactures around 85 per cent of its products in India in association with some of the other third-party manufacturers.
