GE Healthcare and life sciences solutions arm of General Electric has launched two breakthroughs for its Vivid 7 Dimension cardiovascular ultrasound systems here.
``Echocardiography has long been recognized in the broader medical community as a valuable diagnostic test for the evaluation of cardiac structure and function,`` Mr. V. Raja, President and CEO, GE Healthcare South Asia, said, commenting on the launches at the annual conference of Cardiological Society of India.
He also said that, since the echocardiogram is a non-invasive test and involves no medications, patients can immediately return to normal activities.
