The first store of the Gateway Multichannel Retail, named Hypercity Argos, has recently been opened at Thane, Maharashtra. The company is a subsidiary of the giant retail sector company, the Shoppers Stop and it is having a department store in New Delhi at the moment. This department store was opened only a few days back on the 13th of December. Apart from that, the Gateway Multichannel Retail is also having a number of 23 Shoppers Stop stores under operation.
In a statement released to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday, the company stated that it has started a top cosmetic brand named Clinique, that is opened for the first time in India through a stand-alone format. While informing about their other ventures, the company said that the Shoppers Stop has started some other brand stores under its operation. The stores are of various kinds, they are either of shop-in-shop stores within the existing stores or they are working as a separate stand-alone store at different locations. Three Homestop, Arcelia, Airport Retailing, 24 food and some other beverage outlets are included in these. Among the beverage outlets, there are the food courts, Clinique, Crossword and also the Mothercare.
