One of the leading IT companies of India, the Satyam Computer Services has recently announced that it has formed a partnership with the leading provider of database software named Greenplum. The officials from the company have stated that this partnership has been formed on Monday and its aim is to get business intelligence. The officials also said that with this partnership, Satyam would be able to combine its reach and expertise in delivering business intelligence solutions with the innovative database software of Greenplum.
While talking about the partnership more elaborately, one of the top officials of Satyam has stated that the company is trying to build a dedicated practice around Greenplum technology with this partnership. The official also said that the practice also involves integration of Greenplum database into the iDecisions for revenue intelligence and also for the assurance for the telecom industry. The iDecisions from Satyam for revenue intelligence and assurance is known as a technology framework to help the telecommunications companies Identify and plug the revenue leakage effectively.
The Head of Global Alliances, Satyam BI & DW Practice, Mr. Victor Samuel was talking about the new partnership and said, "Greenplum Database provides our client with fast performance and massive scalability, at a lower cost than traditional solutions". He also said that Satyam would also resell and provide the implementation and support services for the Sun Data Warehouse Appliance powered on Greenplum. The Sun Data Warehouse Appliance combines the massively parallel, shared-nothing database of Greenplum with the general-purpose servers and storage from Sun. The main objective combining these two is to enable unmatched load and query performance for the business intelligence workloads.
