Aircel, a Maxis group company, announced that it has awarded a nine-year next generation business transformation contract to Wipro Ltd. Aircel currently operates in ten circles across India and has an estimated 9.5 million subscribers. The company is expanding operations in the remaining 13 circles to position itself as a leading full services pan-India telecom operator in the near term future.
