One of the major companies in the tea sector of the Indian economic industry, Tata Tea has recently launched their very first outlet of Chai Unchai in the city of Bangaluru. With this launching, the company has marked its entry into the out-of-home beverage segment and the officials of the company have informed that Tata Tea has launched the outlet as a retail space in the out-of-home segment.
The Executive-Director of Tata Tea, Ms Sangeeta Talwar was expressing her views over the first outlet of the company at IIM-Bangaluru and said, "Chai Unchai is crafted as a retail space in the out-of home segment that connects with youth in an exciting and differentiated manner. The new adda or hangout is designed to be cool - neither a kiosk nor a parlour but with an ambience that is warm, friendly, unpretentious and fun".
While talking about the products that the new Chai Unchai outlet is going to offer its consumers and said, "The outlet offers both tea and non-tea beverages with a range of unique snack offerings especially designed for it. Chai Unchai is another first in the industry in the way it has been conceptualized and executed". She also said that they are quite confident that they will be able to make a compelling connect with the young Indian people through this new outlet named Chai Unchai.
The General Manager - Marketing & Sales of Tata Tea, Mr. Pankaj Dant was also contacted and asked about their principal thoughts behind launching the new outlet and said, "Our research shows that this segment has a huge opportunity as consumers are constantly looking at different options for a satisfying out-of-home beverage experience". He also said that they bring the design for the outlet out of a need that was expressed by the younger generation for a place where they could just be themselves. He added that they are quite hopeful that the new Chai Unchai outlet would earn popularity among the young Indian people very soon.
