In a recent statement released by the company, the EADS Defence & Security (DS) has announced that it has recently received the first public security TETRA radio network contract of India. The company officials have stated that the contract has been awarded to the company by the Andhra Pradesh police and the network would be covering the high-tech hub surrounding Hyderabad, named Cyberabad, after being established.
When contacted and enquired about the new contract, one of the top executives of the EADS Secure Networks has stated that the company has recently teamed up with its local partner Sanchar Telesystems for the purpose. The two companies would jointly provide the Cyberabad police with a GPS-based digital communication solution. According to a statement released by the company, the Cyberabad police and the security forces would be able to provide protection to the area that is fast emerging to be a hub for the IT, ITES and biotechnology, with this solution.
The sources from the industry have informed that the EADS usually works in the fields like military air systems, missiles, communications and intelligence, global security solutions. Apart from that the company provides the services like sensor and avionics systems and also test and support solutions into a single effective network as well.
