One of the largest corporate house of India, Tata has recently announced that it is planning to acquire a stake in the T-Systems, the high-tech unit of Deutsche Telekom in Germany. The company officials have stated that the acquisition would bring thousands of jobs in India.
According to the sources from the company, Tata is a specialist group in the sectors like high-tech, automobiles and steel and it is now thinking of acquiring the systems integration business of the Deutsche Telekom unit T-Systems. The sources added that almost all the requirements have been fulfilled for the acquisition, except a few final legal issues. They further added that the Deutsche Telekom unit is currently employing about 13,000 IT specialists and it would shift half of those jobs to India after the acquisition.
