Net4 India, a major Internet protocol (IP) communications services and solutions provider has announced on Wednesday that it has stepped into the security services market with its arm named the Net4 Secure. The officials of the company have stated that it is also planning to invest around Rs 14 crore into this service segments, over the next three years.
While announcing their entry into the security services segment, the Chairman and CEO of Net4 India, Mr. Jasjit Sawhney said, "The investments will be relating to application and network-related infrastructure. We expect the business to scale up to about Rs 30 crore by the end 2010". He added that this service is meant for the websites and the online applications and it also provides automated security auditing to its users. The main target of the service is the small and medium players and the users would be able to receive the service at an annual charge of Rs 4,990.
According to one of the top officials of the Net4 India, the company might make the service available for only Rs. 999 up to the month of February, 2008, as an introductory offer. The official said that the initial target of the company would be its own customer base of 75,000 hosted websites, over 700 data center customers and also over another two lakh registered domain names. The official concluded by saying that Net4 India is planning to adopt an aggressive internet based advertising campaign for the service as well.
