Retail Stores are the latest projects that are being worked on by Aditya Birla group. An investment of $24 million has been made for this project. These Family Stores are set to be launched across the country. By May or June these stores will be opened to all. These stores will display the outfits made by Madura Garments, an attire arm of the Birlas. $100 million are being spent on the apparel arm of the parent company.
Mr. Vikram Rao, Business Director of Textile and Apparel Division said, "It will have apparel for all age groups. It would encompass all (brands and products for all). We are working on a branding exercise ahead of the launch." These outlets will also on mens lifestyle range. Mr. Rao addressed the international Brand Summit organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Hyderabad.
Louis Philippe, Peter England, Van Heusen and Allen Solly are the already established brands that have been launched from the Aditya Birla stable. Besides it also distributes Espirit, a reputed international brand.
Discussing about the branding strategy of the company Mr. Rao spoke of Louis Philippe. The brand was first launched as trendsetting and for achievers. With the passage of time the company has launched a new line of mens wear that targets the urban youth. The collection is named LP Youth.
