The major textile company of India named the Zodiac Clothing has announced that it is planning to launch a new brand for the domestic market very soon. The officials of the company have informed that it is thinking of targeting the urban consumers in the age group of 30-35 years with this newly launched brand. The Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Zodiac Clothing, Mr. Anees Noorani said that the brand would be a formal wear and contemporary clothing at the same time.
The industry sources informed that Zodiac usually sells premium ties, shirts and belts in India and overseas and it is trying to strengthen its presence in the West Asian market as well. The sources from Zodiac said that the company is going to open two new exclusive stores for menswear and allied products in Dubai within the next few months. The company is selling its products in Dubai through 50 outlets in retail chains and multi-brand outlets at the moment. According to the market analysts, the Indians living in the Gulf countries are purchasing the premium clothings for quite a long time now and they also highly admire the clothes from Zodiac.
Another source from the company said that the Zodiac Clothing is now banking on its facilities located in Dubai for meeting the orders from customers in Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The company is also trying to minimize the impact of the nearly 11 y-o-y appreciation of the rupee through this way. However, none of the senior executives of the company agreed to give the production break-up of existing domestic facilities in Karnataka and Gujarat and also those in West Asia.
