Likewise, with an incessant desire to accelerate progressive change in ouor CFL business, we are launching this revolutionary product in our portfolio."
Today, most of the CFL manufactures worldwide use liquid mercury due to cost effectiveness and simpler technology. The disadvantage is that technically it is extremely difficult ot limit the weight of liquid mercury ( generally a CFL contains at least 3 to 5 time more than prescribed norms by Indian and International standards). In Havells Green CFL no lead is used and the mercury content is also very less. Both lead and mercury are not eco-friendly item. This cause hazards while diposing normal CFL. Due to its special features, Green CFL becomes a necessity especially in preventing global warming.
With Green CFL, Havells has modified all their CFL production lines and adopted PDT (Pill Dosing Technology). With PDT, company now uses amalgamated mercury content is also very less harmfl to the environment as compared to the conventional use of liquid mercury in CFL. This pill also conforms to Indian and International standards on the use of mercury in CFL.
