NTPC Commissioned 500 MW Unit In Bihar
The giant power producing company in India, the National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has recently commissioned a 500-MW unit of a thermal power plant in the state of Bihar. The officials of the company have informed that with the commissioning of this plant, the total generation capacity of the company in India has increased close to the 30,000 MW-mark.

The NTPC has recently released an official statement on Monday for informing the Bombay Stock Exchange about the commissioning of the plant and said that the second unit of the 500 MW of Kahalgaon Thermal Power Project - Stage II of NTPC Ltd has been successfully test synchronized on 16th March. The company said that the project is located in the state of Bihar and with the commissioning of this unit, the commissioned capacity of the Kahalgaon project has increased to 1,840 MW. The company further said that the total installed capacity of NTPC is standing at 29,144 MW at the moment.
