The Netherlands-based specialist company in electrical interconnection systems for aircraft and aero engines named the Fokker Elmo has recently selected the Bangaluru-based CADES, for providing engineering services to it. The officials of CADES have informed that the Fokker Elmo will be using the services of the company for manufacturing electrical systems for programmes from the aircraft manufacturers like Boeing, Airbus and also the others. The officials added that some dedicated CADES teams will be working both in Europe and in India for providing design, stress analysis and validation for the wire harness systems and related structures.
Expressing his views over the matter, the Managing Director & CEO of CADES, Mr. Dataram Mishra said, "The services provided under this partnership will be eligible for offset credit in India. This long-term strategic partnership is expected to generate revenue of several million US dollars per year". The President, Fokker Elmo B.V, Mr. Jan Lagasse was also talking about the issue and said, "Our partner in India - which is a strategic country for our customers - creates further value by its affordable cost structure and provides us with the flexibility and capacity necessary to further strengthen our position in the market".
The sources from the industry have informed that the CADES has the credit of supporting a number of 50 customers all over the world from the aerospace and automotive sectors. The major customers of the company include the names of Boeing, EADS, MT Aerospace, HAL, DRDO, ISRO, DaimlerChrysler, Nissan, Volvo and Volkswagen. The sources also informed that the Fokker Elmo is actually a part of the Stork Aerospace and it usually supplies its services to the premium companies like Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Rolls Royce, Hamilton Sundstrand, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon.
